Resumen

PERES, Moyra  y  GOMEZ, Jaime. Cognitive-behavioral Program of the five basic tennis shoots (On children between the ages of 5-6 years old). Ajayu [online]. 2004, vol.2, n.1, pp.45-53. ISSN 2077-2161.

The purpose of this research was to develop the five basic tennis shoots of kids between the ages of 5 to 6 years old, through a cognitive-behavioral training program. This program consists of techniques such as visualization, motivation, breathing exercises, motor function exercises and movement coordination exercises. The design of this research its almost experimental. The work took place with seven kids, who were divided in two groups. In order to form the control group and the experimental group, both groups were given an initial test and later they were given a second test. Between both tests, the intervention program was given, while the control group was trained with a regular tennis program. The results showed that both groups had significant improvement on the different tennis shoots, because they all received stimulation for the same amount of time. However, the experimental group showed a greater improvement than the control group. That is how it was concluded that the intervention cognitive-behavioral program applied on the experimental group is indeed, effective.
