This research demonstrates that gender stereotypical beliefs still persist and are reproduced within the subjectivities of male and female students and teachers at a university in La Paz, Bolivia. Based on statistical analysis of data from the Applied Ambivalent Sexism Inventory, it is determined that male students and teachers hold more sexist attitudes than their female counterparts. Age and academic degrees attained do not influence whether women are treated as equals to men and afforded the freedom to be and live as they wish. Additionally, it is found that these women are not exempt from perpetuating sexist violence.
