TOLEDO CHAMBILLA, Andrés. Tutoring Through Virtual Classrooms: A Training and Selftraining Experience. Edu. Sup. Rev. Cient. Cepies [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.2, pp.47-58. ISSN 2518-8283.

Abstract Great revolutions have demonstrated, over the course of the years, that it is necessary to keep up with the everchanging reality. Undoubtedly, technology conveys one of the most shocking transformations in today's world, substantially cutting across every stratum of social life. Education, as the very center of human evolution, has been significantly invaded by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), creating digital environments where students can enhance their abilities and educate themselves in digital environments, without being physically present. As a matter of fact, the only thing they actually need is to be connected to the network in order to receive training, through a virtual classroom, with the assistance of an oniine tutor. This field study was aimed to the analysis of the experience of 12 virtual-classroom university tutors of the Department of Commercial Engineering of the University Mayor de San Simón, regarding their students learning process (as well as their own) within these self-training environments. Hence, a series of data were compiled Concerning training and self-training variables by means of a survey, in the form of a questionnaire. Likewise, the results obtained were handied by means of descriptive statistics and presented in frequeney tables and bar graphs. The significant experience of the tutors in terms of training in virtual classrooms was highlighted, underlining the actual appropriation of new knowledge through their praxis as tutors.

Palabras clave : Tutor; virtual classrooms; training - self-training.
