This scientific article addresses the implementation of tools based on artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of higher education. The review highlights the significant transformation that these tools have brought to the educational environment, offering key benefits. It should be noted that the research methodology of this article was developed under the bibliographic review methodology whose technique allowed the selection and compilation of information through the reading and criticism of documents and bibliographic materials, from libraries and different research works related to the topic, thus allowing Highlighting AI's ability to personalize learning, adapting to individual styles and providing immediate feedback, the automation of repetitive administrative tasks is also noted as an efficient improvement, freeing up time for more valuable pedagogical activities. Likewise, the contribution of these tools to real-time collaboration and access to advanced educational resources is also highlighted, enriching the learning experience. The ability of AI to detect plagiarism and fraud is mentioned, promoting academic integrity. Inclusivity and accessibility are recurring themes, as AI tools can be adapted to meet the needs of students with disabilities. On the other hand, it concludes by emphasizing the strategic importance of the implementation of AI tools in higher education, not only to improve administrative efficiency, but also to promote the development of 21st century skills and facilitate advanced research in various disciplines.
