Research Question Do first year medical students at UMSA suffer from more stress than students at UNIVALLE University before taking an anatomy test? Objective To determine wheter the level of stress before an anatomy test is higher in the first year medical students at UMSA than in their colleagues at UNIVALLE University during the year 2003 Study Design Qualitative-Quantitative Descriptive Sample 313 students selected according to sample Criteria for Inclusión Students who take the anatomy course for the levels of stress Results Using the qualification of the test above test, the following results were obtained: "You are inside the normal range": UNIVALLE 37.63%, UMSA 18.75%. "You are at the limit": UNIVALLE 50.65%, UMSA 50.45% "You need some help": UNIVALLE 4.69%, UMSA 27.20% "You are having a high level of strees": UNIVALLE 0%, UMSA 3.60%. Conclusions The first year medical student at UMSA have a higher level of stress than the students at UNIVALLE before taking a partial exam of anatomy.
