Our objective was to evaluate the symptoms of Functional Dyspepsia Syndrome and their improvement after eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection. To the case 136 patients whom were attended in the internal medicine department of the Caja Petrolera de Salud of the La Paz city-Bolivia, everyone diagnosed with Helicobacter pylori infection and Functional Dyspepsia (FD) by filling the dyspepsia Bisbal and Barua test (100% specificity and sensitivity of 95%). To establish the socioeconomic level, they were interrogated about: the p with HP infection lace and area of residence, educational level, occupation, monthly income, type of housing, water supply and drainage, household and access to health services. The highest prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection was found in patients with (54.2%) and significant statistically association between Helicobacter pylori eradication and FD symptoms improvement (X2 de 3.91 y P<0.01). The eradication of Helicobacter Pylori in patients with FD improved significantly their symptomatology.
