Communication skills allow people to insert themselves into society through a set of linguistic processes that are developed throughout life, where family and school play an important role. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of educational videos as a digital tool to improve the communicative skills of primary school students in a public educational institution. The type of applied research of pre-experimental design was used, there was a sample of 140 students to whom a communicative skills observation form was applied as pretest and posttest and the educational videos were used in 18 sessions. The findings showed that the levels of achievement increased in oral, body and written expression. It was concluded that the educational videos improved the communicative skills of primary school students in a public educational institution.
