Peru has the highest guinea pig consumption, with an annual production of 16,500 tons of meat from 65 million guinea pigs. The objective was to determine the use of discarded potato meal as a substitute for yellow corn and alfalfa in guinea pig feed in the town of Chavinillo. Methodology: completely randomized block design was used for a period of nine weeks, with 4 treatments, the study population was 48 guinea pigs; males and females. Results were obtained for the control treatment T0 (63.2% ground corn + 10.5% wheat bran + 26.32% soybean cake), the highest acceptance rate in male and female guinea pigs, the feed conversion index in male guinea pigs was 7.23 kg, treatment T2 (62.5 % of corn + 10.5 % of wheat bran + 26.32 % of soybean cake) the highest acceptance rate in male and female guinea pigs. 23 kg, treatment T2 (62% discarded potato flour + 9 % wheat bran + 29 % soybean cake) the female guinea pigs was 5.52 kg obtained, treatment T3 (64% discarded potato flour + 7.7% wheat bran + 28 % soybean cake), the benefit/cost ratio had in the research of S/ 1. 70, control treatment T0 (63.2 % ground corn + 10.5 % wheat bran + 26.32 % soybean cake), the most effective treatment for weight gain was the control treatment T0 (63.2 % ground corn + 10.5 % wheat bran + 26.32 % soybean cake), the statistical evaluation was indifferent to the use of any diet where there was inclusion of discarded potato meal.
