The physical, chemical and microbiological analysis allows the producer to determine the condition of the soil, availability of nutrients and estimate a fertilization plan to remedy conditions and improve soil performance to obtain better production. The research was carried out with the objective of evaluating and comparing the physical, chemical and microbiological state of the soil in Banana (Musa paradisiaca Cavendish) and African Palm (Elaeis guineensis Jac) Damasson 007, Provincia de los Ríos-Quevedo, Ecuador. Through a physical-chemical analysis carried out at AGROBIOLAB as a service, and at the CEB, Peninsula State University of Santa Elena for the microbiological analysis, the parameters considered were P, S, K, Ca and Mg, textural class, pH, organic matter and CFU /g dry soil of bacteria and fungi in 3 different batches per crop. The samples were collected at the Ruth farm, located in the Valencia-Los Ríos canton, for their evaluation the dilution method was used with three repetitions for microorganisms expressed in CFU/g dry soil. The results obtained determined that the soil of the banana and African palm crop has similar properties in terms of pH (LAc), texture (Fco, Fco - Arc - Li) and P level, while the African palm crop has greater amount of organic matter and S. The banana crop presented higher levels of P, K, Ca and Mg than the African palm crop. On the other hand, in the ratio of CFU/g dry soil it was found that the banana crop has higher values than the African palm crop.
