Abstrac The research carried out on the offer of postgraduate programs in Communication in public and private universities in La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz (2019 to 2021), through the Communication Research and Postgraduate Institute (IpiCOM) of the UMSA, determines that the diploma, master's, specialty and doctorate courses in Bolivia are framed in areas similar to those offered in the region; among which stand out: journalism, digital communication, communication and marketing, strategic communication, communication and health, communication and environment, social networks, production of and in the media, and public relations. It is concluded that there is a growing variety of these courses on offer, but most of them are developed with a more practical or professional approach -those that favor the updating and optimization of professional performance- than those of a pure or theoretical investigative nature
